Emergency Response — Based in Pinner — usually with you within 60 minutes

Emergency Electrician in Pinner

When something goes wrong with your electrics, you need someone who can get to you quickly and sort it — not a call centre that books you in for next week. I'm Tom, a NAPIT registered electrician based in Pinner itself. Call me on 07405 629 940 and I'll aim to be with you within the hour.

Available 7 days a week including weekends & evenings

Electrical emergencies don't follow office hours. A tripping board, a burning smell from a socket, or a complete power cut needs dealing with the same day — not next week. As I'm based in HA5, I'm able to respond quickly to emergency call-outs across Pinner, Eastcote, Hatch End and the surrounding area, usually within the hour for properties close to Pinner village.

Common electrical emergencies I deal with in Pinner include: RCDs that keep tripping and won't reset; burning smells or signs of scorching around sockets or light fittings; partial power loss (a circuit that's gone dead); damage after a lightning strike or power surge; and electrical faults discovered just before a tenant moves in. I carry test equipment in the van at all times, so I can diagnose and usually fix the issue on the same visit.

Pinner's older housing stock — particularly the Victorian and Edwardian terraces around Church Lane and the High Street — is more prone to certain types of fault than newer properties. Deteriorating rubber-insulated cable, overloaded sockets from decades of extension lead use, and outdated fuse boards without RCD protection are all more common in pre-1960s homes. If you're in one of these properties and something has gone wrong, call me and I'll come and assess it.

Common Emergency Questions

I'm based in Pinner, so for most HA5 addresses I can usually be with you within 60 minutes of your call. For areas on the edge of my coverage I'll give you an honest ETA when you ring.
Emergency and weekend call-outs are priced at £110/hour vs the standard rate. I'll always confirm the rate before coming out so there are no surprises.
If you can't reset it and you've lost power to part of the house, yes — call me. A repeatedly tripping RCD usually means there's a fault on that circuit that needs finding. I carry insulation testers and loop impedance equipment to trace faults quickly.
Switch off the socket at the wall and unplug anything connected to it. If the smell is coming from behind the socket face, switch off the ring main at the consumer unit. Then call me. A burning smell is a potential fire risk and should be investigated the same day.
