House Rewiring in Hemel Hempstead
Rewiring is a big job, and Hemel's housing stock needs a different approach from the Victorian terraces I do in Pinner. Old Town and the streets off the High Street are slower, more careful work. Solid brick, lath and plaster, and meter cupboards in awkward places mean more chasing and more making-good. I will walk the property with you before we start and mark where cables have to run, so you can decide whether to decorate after or live with filled plaster.
Apsley and the newer HP3 builds rarely need a full rewire. What I see there is usually a kitchen or loft conversion that was never certified, or a garden office that needs a proper sub-main. I will not talk you into a whole-house rewire if a partial job will make the installation safe. Every rewire — full or partial — comes with an Electrical Installation Certificate and building control notification handled on your behalf.
